Course Overview

Writing successful grant proposals are essential to the sustainability and survival of organizations. Civil society organizations including non-governmental Organizations, foundations and community based organizations are mostly dependent on development Aid Grants to fund their community, humanitarian and socio-economic developmental projects and initiatives. Call for applications are usually solicited by donors either on open call or rolling open basis or through specific notices with specific deadlines to competitively apply for grants.

When applying for a grant applications, Grant Writers face many issues including how to align their funding needs with the funders’ objectives and priorities in one hand and how to translate the needs of their organizations into project proposals that are convincing and attractive to donors.  They need to demonstrate how they will use the funding resources rationally and effectively.

Winning grant proposals don’t come through wishing luck but there are techniques behind it. The training course will help participants those techniques and tips to maximize their organizations’ chances of obtaining funds
