The study assessed UNFPA partnership effectiveness with donor agencies and the private sector. Partnerships effectiveness was measured in terms of value add and alignment to UNFPA’s mandates; Co-creation and Collaboration; innovation and partnership management. The study included Strength, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. It also included mapping of potential funding agencies to pursue.
Data collection techniques included the use of Appreciative Inquiry to capitalize on successful practices, in depth interviews of UNFPA staff, funding agencies, corporate funders and implementing partners. Quantitative survey by UNFPA staff was conducted to assess the effectiveness of the partnership management process. The study has provided UNFPA with a clear roadmap to improved client’s relationship, cultivation and stewardship.
