Baseline Study: Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices on Women’s Access to Inheritance Rights in Upper Egypt

The baseline survey included data collection and measurement of knowledge, attitudes and practices – towards women’s inheritance rights solicited from women, men, religious and community and leaders within three selected villages in each of Assuit and Sohag governorates, Egypt.

The study results were disaggregated per gender, age bracket, education level, and economic status. Per the results of baseline study, the study recommended the addition of new project activities such as the establishment of mediation committees supporting women realizing their rights in an amicable manner.
