The study aimed at laying-out a thorough overview of possibilities for partnerships with the private sector in Egypt capitalizing on the Corporate Social Responsibility units and programs of these corporates. The study aimed to identify, engage and position UNFPA with strategic private sector partners to secure longer-term partnerships thus increasing levels of revenues to UNFPA. Areas of expertise included SRHR, GBV and Youth activism.
Activities included the following:
- Scouting, selecting, and engaging with at 10 most approachable companies which have funding allocations, financial or in-kind contributions, to developmental issues linked to Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), Gender Based Violence, and youth civic engagement.
- Conducted meetings and interviews with CSR decision makers to gather more insights related to their funding priorities, key issues, needs and wants as well as to learn more about their perception about UNFPA.
