The 6-months campaign aimed at raising the awareness of more than 2,000 youth (13-18 years old), their parents, and school teachers on the risks of irregular migration and on available positive alternative routes, namely vocational training necessary for securing employment opportunities. Four district-level conferences were designed in four governorates in Alexandria, El Beheira, El Fayoum, and Assuit governorates.
The quantitative and qualitative evaluation covered key evaluation areas including
- Targeting and inclusion
- Value-added awareness messages
- Increased knowledge and awareness
- Partnerships with Child Protection Committees, NGOs and the Private Sector
- Local ownership
- The effectiveness of locally-based Advocacy Task Force.
