Two days traditional classroom training coupled with mentorship on how to respond to EU call for funding for civil society organizations to improve CSOs’ role in democratic policy reforms. Training covered both how to prepare the 5-pages maximum concept note as well as how to fill / submit the full EU funding application. Training topics included relevancy, logical framework, methodologies, sustainability, Work Plan and budget overview.
11 senior program managers representing NGOs and quasi-government agencies, such as the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council, attended the training workshops. 4 attendees submitted their draft concept notes and application with the mentorship assistance. Two of the 4 applicants were later awarded the grants by EU.
