Beit Al Karma consulting provided technical assistance and training to Caritas Egypt for the design and establishment of business development, monitoring and evaluation units. Beit Al Karma MEL team collaboratively reviewed and developed Key Performance Indicators for 11 development programs, designed and delivered training workshops in outcomes mapping, proposal writing and communication skills including writing success stories. In a co-creation mode with the designated staff members, Beit Al Karma developed procedures and templates for the business development and MEL processes.
Beit Al Karma has supported the development of two strategic won proposals funded by UNHCR for the management of health and protection services to refugees. Both proposals included defining theory of change, logical framework, and implementation methodologies. The training and systems designed have helped Caritas to produce impact driven success stories and been able to develop meaningful content for their website.
Caritas has been able to establish and recruit for its new MEL department. They have also been able to use cloud-based story collections system across Egypt’s governorates where Caritas implements its development projects. The services provided has supported Caritas monitoring, learning, and accountability requirements.
